Chinese actor is playing baddie in Rajinikanth’s Kabali?

kabali movie news

Rajinikanth‘s upcoming movie Kabali is set to rock the screens next year. Kabali is one of the most highly anticipated movies next year. The superstar will be playing a gangster in the movie. Radhika Apte will be playing the lady lead. Director Pa Ranjith is handling this project. Mr Ranjith is a rather new face in Tamil industry and has given us two refreshing movies like Attakathi and Madras. Kabali will be his third venture.

The first look of the movie created quite a buzz in social media. Now here is another recent development from the project. It seems that the villian’s role will be played by a Chinese actor. As soon as this news was out, rumors started flying that famous actor and martial artist Jet Li has been roped in by director Ranjith. But the rumor was soon dispelled. A whole lot of names from the Chinese film industry have been speculated to play baddie in Kabali, however no one has been officially confirmed.

What has been confirmed is that a Chinese actor will definitely be playing the antagonist in Kabali. Hollywood actor Arnold Schwarzeneger was supposed to play villian in Enthiran 2 or 2.O which also stars Rajinikanth. But this news was proven false which led to much disappointment among the fans. Hopefully the news of a Chinese actor playing the baddie in Kabali turns out to be true.

thani oruvan sequel

Here is some delightful news for Tamil cinema fans. Jayam Ravi confirms that a sequel to Thani Oruvan, a tamil blockbuster and one of the best movies of 2015, is definitely on the cards. Speaking in an exclusive interview to a leading entertainment website, he was quoted as saying,” Director Mohan Raja is working on the script and has assured me that I would be featured in the film. I have expressed my wish to be a part of the script discussion as I also want to be the assistant director of the film. Raja has an idea on which he is developing his story and I can categorically say that this idea has been never ever told in cinema.”

After the roaring success of Thani Oruvan, the confirmation of its sequel adds to the joy and pride of Kollywood fans and the industry as a whole. The movie achieved its accolades owing to a good and compelling story line, good acting by the cast and a simply mind blowing performance by actor Arvind Swamy as the villain. In fact, it was one of the best comebacks by any veteran actor in recent times that gave the action/thriller movie a huge boost in the box office.  Due to the immense impact that Arvind Swamy made onscreen, it is worth speculating whether he too will be cast in the sequel even though his character was killed in the actual movie. Perhaps the director has something special in store. Stay tuned as we will keep you posted.

Beep song controvers : Chennai Police directs Indian airports to detain Simbu if he has plans to leave country

simbu movies

Tamil actor Silambarasan faces major trouble as the Chennai Police intensifies pursuit. The cyber cell of Chennai Police issued alerts to airport authorities of major airports across the country to ensure that Simbu doesn’t leave the country. This is the latest development in the Beep song controversy that has taken the K-Town by storm. The infamous Beep song was released recently on social media and immediately went viral, not because of the song itself but rather because of the controversial lyrics which were offensive to women. Since its release, actor Simbu and composer Anirudh Ravichander have faced flak which escalated to criminal charges being pressed on them.

The police justifies this extreme step by stating that it fears that Simbu may try to leave country after the actor-composer duo failed to appear before the Coimbatore and Chennai police when summoned. Anirudh is currently in Canada whereas the actor is out of the city. In the light of all the ruckus and controversy, Silambarasan had filed an anticipatory bail plea in the Madras High Court. The government plans to oppose this too leaving the actor no other option other than submitting himself to the Chennai police.

Former police and court officials claim that step taken by the law enforcement authorities is logical although rather extreme as the actor is not a repeat offender. Former judge VJ Arulraj was quoted as saying,” There is no immediate need for the arrest or custodial questioning of the actor in this case. Everything is on the internet. The actor, moreover, has said that he never released the album formally.”

Looks like Simbu bit a lot more than he could chew. Do you think this extreme step taken by the police is justified? Let us know your thoughts and stay tuned as the Beep song controversy takes new twists and turns.
